Before joining SSG as General Counsel, Don Caffery was a partner with a law firm based out of New Orleans, where he focused on commercial litigation, natural resources and property law. Throughout his experience, he has spent nine sessions with Senator Bret Allain at the Louisiana State Legislature, providing counsel on legislation before the Agriculture, Commerce, Health and Welfare and Natural Resources committees.
Outside of the capital, Don advises small businesses, property owners and other professional associations throughout the state. Because of his diverse background, he possesses a keen understanding of the law and legislative process, including established, trusted relationships at all levels of state government.
Don graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in management and was an inaugural member of Leadership LSU. After spending time in Washington, D.C., he received his J.D. from Loyola New Orleans, where he devoted time to representing indigent defendants.
