Louisiana to Remain in Phase 2 Until August 7
Governor Edwards is extending his executive order of Phase 2. This order also includes a statewide mask mandate, limiting indoor social gatherings to 50 people, and prohibits on-site consumption of alcohol at bars for another two weeks.
Governor Edwards stated in his press conference that Louisiana’s goal is for the positive test rate to be below 10%. As of July 15, all regions of Louisiana had a seven-day average positivity of new tests that were greater than 10% and the overall statewide positivity rate was 15.46%.
